Driver-contact services in the US compared

· Checked

Replyte offers private app conversations for supported plates. The current Google Play app does not support plate contact for US, Canadian or Australian plates. Choose wheels.chat when browser entry matters most. Consider iCAR3 for plate or QR contact with optional SMS notifications, or SafePinQR when you want alerts sent to nominated contacts.

Replyte publishes this comparison. The tables below compare each service’s stated contact method, owner setup and public offer.

Compare the route from car to recipient

Service How the sender starts What the owner prepares Phone-number privacy
Replyte Private app messaging for supported plates; current Google Play app: no US plate contact Claims a supported car; can generate its QR and printable PDF Participants do not receive each other’s numbers
wheels.chat Uses the website or app; enters plate and state, or scans a QR Registers the plate Describes messaging without exchanging personal contact details
iCAR3 Enters a plate or scans an iCAR3 sticker Registers the vehicle; separately opts into SMS if wanted Says phone numbers are not displayed to other users
SafePinQR Scans the vehicle’s code and submits an alert Adds nominated contacts and prints the code Does not print personal contact details on the sticker

The distinction is who receives what. A driver conversation lets you explain a blocked entrance and exchange replies. A nominated-contact alert is useful when you want someone else notified about the vehicle.

What does each option cost?

Service Published offer What to include in your decision
Replyte Free access starts with one supported car See available Premium products and local monthly or yearly prices in your platform store; arrange Fleet through sales
wheels.chat Free registration Start from the website or app using a plate and state, or QR
iCAR3 Free US App Store download Register the car to receive its messages; SMS consent is optional
SafePinQR Basic Paid code: displayed $9.99 for two years and 50 alerts One email and one phone contact; print the code; confirm billing currency

Keep the issuing authority with the plate

A US plate address needs the United States, the issuing state or territory and the complete plate.

The browser demo illustrates this addressing rule with a fictional US plate. It does not send messages.

For example: “Your car is blocking the west garage exit at 24 Oak Street. Could you move it?” A photo or location can make the entrance easier to find. The issuing details come from the plate, even when a visiting car is parked in another state.

For supported plates, the sender needs Replyte. If the plate is unclaimed, the message waits for a claim for up to 30 days and expires if nobody claims it. A sent message does not guarantee a prompt reply.

Choose the setup that fits your car

Replyte keeps supported-plate conversations together. Reasons give the first message context, and quiet hours let you control ordinary notifications. Garage keeps vehicle information together. For a shared vehicle, review co-driver options; for an organization, ask about Fleet’s shared inbox.

A supported, claimed car can also have a Replyte QR and printable PDF. Scanning opens a route to open or install Replyte, then continue in the app. It gives passersby a visible contact point alongside plate entry.

Choose wheels.chat for browser plate contact. Its stated US and Canada workflow includes the state or province. That makes it worth considering when the person beside your car should start on the web.

Consider iCAR3 for optional SMS notifications. Its owner setup separates registering a plate from consenting to SMS. That suits someone who wants vehicle notifications in their text inbox as well as the service’s messaging route.

Choose SafePinQR for nominated-contact alerts. Its printable code serves a different purpose from keeping a driver’s ongoing conversation in one inbox. Keep the nominated contacts current and include the two-year code term in your plans.

For a car blocking access now, follow the US blocked-driveway guide alongside your contact attempt. Call 911 for immediate danger.

Get Replyte from Google Play. The iOS app is not available yet.
