Car QR contact stickers: India, Korea and Moldova

· Updated · Checked

A car contact QR sticker gives someone beside your vehicle a way to ask you to move or report a problem. The useful question is what happens after the scan: a masked call, a browser conversation, an app message or a link to another messenger.

This comparison is published by Replyte. It covers Sampark and QrMyCar in India, PLEASY in South Korea, and CarQR in Moldova. These examples illustrate different contact routes. Do not assume a tag sold for one market has the same calling support or delivery options elsewhere.

Choose a sticker when you want strangers to reach your own prepared car. Replyte is the better fit when the car you need to contact has no compatible sticker and you want a private conversation addressed by its issuing country and registration. The sender needs the Replyte app, and the owner must participate before a message can reach them.

Compare the route after scanning

Product Market described What the owner prepares Finder’s contact route Main limit
Sampark India Activate and display a Sampark tag Browser contact with masked calls, SMS or WhatsApp The vehicle needs that tag
QrMyCar India Register the vehicle and activate its sticker Anonymous messages or masked calls, with owner notifications Owner settings govern calls and WhatsApp alerts
PLEASY South Korea Display its QR/NFC sticker or join its member service Web chat, member chat or a representative-number SMS, depending on route A non-member SMS is different from member chat
CarQR Moldova Activate and display its QR contact sticker Protected calls, account chat or chosen external messengers Full access and routed-call/SMS allowances have limits
Replyte Supported issuing countries and registrations Claim the plate to receive messages; QR is optional for a claimed car Private app thread addressed by registration Sender app required; no guaranteed immediate response

A sticker has nothing to scan on a car whose owner has not placed one. Keep the account and contact settings current. A successful scan alone does not establish that the owner is available.

Sampark: browser contact for an Indian vehicle tag

Sampark offers physical tags and a digital eTag. A finder uses a normal phone camera and opens the contact route in the browser without installing an app. Sampark describes masked calling, SMS and WhatsApp without displaying the owner’s usual number.

This is a practical option when you are preparing your own vehicle in India and want a visible contact point with several channels. Its additional document reminders do not remove the need to activate the particular vehicle’s tag.

A quick scan can start contact; it cannot promise that the owner answers. For other India-specific options, see QR tags versus plate messaging in India.

QrMyCar: no finder app, with owner-controlled notifications

QrMyCar describes an India-wide sticker product. The owner places the sticker, signs in and adds vehicle details. A scanner can then use the contact route without an app or sign-up, with masked calls and owner alerts.

Its privacy policy says scanners do not see personal phone, WhatsApp or emergency numbers. The optional emergency contact receives automated alerts after a vehicle accident report. Owners choose whether to enable masked calls and WhatsApp notifications. The policy also distinguishes individual registration from housing-society accounts.

Choose it when a browser-first contact point suits the people likely to find your vehicle. With no QrMyCar sticker on the other car, this route is unavailable.

PLEASY: Korean QR, NFC and member contact

PLEASY describes a parking sticker that opens web chat without a finder app. Its NFC sticker can open the contact route on iPhone or Android. This suits owners who want a scanner to start from the code already on the car.

Other PLEASY routes work differently. Members can chat in the app. For a non-member vehicle owner, the vendor describes SMS sent through its representative number without exposing the sender’s number. Do not expect that SMS notification to offer the same conversation as member chat.

Its plate-recognition feature saves typing; it does not guarantee that a driver can receive and answer the request. For regional public alternatives and their privacy differences, read how Korean drivers contact a parked car.

CarQR: Moldova contact choices and renewal limits

CarQR offers windscreen QR stickers for Moldova. The owner can choose a protected call, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram or chat in their CarQR account. The product also includes contact stickers for a door and personal items.

The service terms make the continuing cost relevant. Full access lasts 12 months after activation. The temporary-number route includes up to 30 minutes of calls in total, and the service includes up to 120 SMS. Temporary-number calls and SMS are limited to Moldova mobile operators. Without renewal after the access period, only the registered personal-number route remains.

Choose CarQR when you want these channels for a prepared vehicle in Moldova and accept the allowances and renewal terms. An external messenger may reveal different profile information from the service’s account chat. Check the contact option you enable, rather than treating the QR symbol as a promise about every channel.

When Replyte is the better fit

A tag helps someone find you. It does not help you reach an unfamiliar car with no compatible tag. Replyte starts from the vehicle’s registration instead: select the issuing country, enter the complete plate and choose a reason.

The sender needs the app. Text, photos, voice notes and location can stay in the thread without either participant receiving the other’s phone number. Owners control accepted reasons and ordinary notifications through quiet hours. Messages remain in the conversation. A claimed car can also have a contact QR and printable PDF, alongside Garage and co-driver access.

For an unclaimed plate, an eligible message waits for up to 30 days. It reaches the owner only if they claim the plate in that period; otherwise it expires. That can preserve a later conversation, but it cannot guarantee an immediate reply or movement of a blocking vehicle.

Choose for the car and situation

  • For an Indian car you are preparing, compare Sampark’s and QrMyCar’s activated-tag routes.
  • For a prepared Korean QR or NFC route, compare PLEASY’s web and member options.
  • For a Moldova vehicle, include CarQR’s operator restrictions and renewal terms in the decision.
  • For private contact when the other car has no compatible sticker, use Replyte with its app and participation limits.

If someone faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service. After an accident, follow local reporting and insurance requirements separately. None of these consumer contact products replaces that process.

Install Replyte from Google Play when private registration-based messaging fits your situation. The iOS app is not available yet.

Frequently asked questions

Which car QR contact sticker is best?

Choose for the country and contact flow you can actually use. Sampark and QrMyCar document India-facing scan flows, PLEASY documents QR and NFC contact in South Korea, and CarQR documents a Moldova-specific service. None is a universal directory for cars that never installed its code.

Does the person scanning need an app?

The current Sampark and QrMyCar pages describe browser-based contact without a finder app. PLEASY describes web chat without an app for a scanner, while its member and non-member paths differ. CarQR describes browser access and several call or messaging choices. Owner registration and product setup still apply.

Do all QR car stickers hide both phone numbers in every channel?

Do not assume that from the category name. Each vendor describes its own privacy mechanism: Sampark describes masked contact; QrMyCar says scanner contact hides personal phone, WhatsApp and emergency numbers; PLEASY distinguishes member chat from representative-number SMS to non-members; and CarQR offers protected calls plus external messengers and account chat. Test the exact channel you plan to enable.

How long does CarQR service last?

CarQR's current offer says full access lasts 12 months. It also states a total 30-minute temporary-number allowance and up to 120 SMS, with those two features limited to Moldova mobile operators. After the access period, the terms say only the registered personal-number route remains unless service is renewed.

What if the other car has no QR code?

Use a displayed number, ask nearby staff or send a plate-addressed message in Replyte. The sender needs the app and the recipient must claim the car to receive messages.
